New York Funeral For The Notorious BIG

The body of slain rapper Biggie Smalls is brought back to New York, where the entertainer was born and raised.

A hearse carrying Smalls' body arrived yesterday at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on the Upper East Side. Smalls - also known as the Notorious BIG - was born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He often rapped about growing up here in the city.

Meantime, The New York Post reports the rapper's family plans to drive his coffin through the streets of his old neighborhood [Fresh Finesse will be there!!]. They're also reportedly considering playing his music from a loudspeaker system.

Smalls, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was shot to death in Los Angeles last week while sitting in his car. Los Angeles Police say they have significant developments in the investigation, but refuse to release any details.
